I am just back to home from a challenging but satisfying trekking holiday in Nepal. I spent 14 days trekking through the Gokyo and Everest Base Camp – Kala Patthar hike with Wilderness Excursion. The trip was exceptionally well organized right from the start. My guide Nurbu and porter Lakpa Sherpa were very accommodating - we were able to modify the itinerary the day before starting the trek - it was no problem for them despite them having already booked all the accommodation! We never felt like we were asking too much of them. During our trek, two people from our group decided to stay at a lower altitude and meet up with the rest of the group a few days later. This was no problem for at all - the logistics in terms of guides, porters and accommodation was sorted out in a couple of minutes.

Our guides and porters were very fantastic. Their knowledge and expertise is priceless, they are passionate people who care about the safety and well-being of their trekkers. Our group felt completely at ease knowing that we were in their capable hands. I think it's crucial to have their local knowledge and assistance when doing a trip like this.
