Aital Tamang

Aital Tamang, born and raised in Solu Khumbu from the lower Everest region, has been working as a senior trekking guide since 2014. Aital has two decades of experience working in trekking. He first came into this industry as a porter, assistant cook, and trekking chef during the early 90s, when there were NOT any teahouses or guesthouses in the trekking areas of Nepal Himalaya. After getting trekking guide training from NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management) under the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. He has previous trekking guide experience in the Royal Mount Trek and the Eco Nepal Trek. He is very flexible for doing his duty with his friendly and helpful nature. About his education, he had only high school classes, but he has knowledge of almost all the GHT (Great Himalaya Trail that is some 1700 km from Kanchenjunga to Dolpa of Nepal Himalaya) sections. He has been to the major cities of Nepal and has also visited Tibet, India, Malaysia, etc. His sincerity towards his job makes him one of our able guides in Wilderness Excursion.
