Upon our arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, a representative from Wilderness Excursion will greet us with a traditional warm welcome and transfer us to our designated hotel. In the afternoon, we’ll attend a welcome meeting where we can meet our tour leader and receive a briefing on our luxury lodge trek in the Annapurna region. This is also a great opportunity to ask the trek leader or management any questions about the trip. As no other activities are planned for the day, early arrivals are free to explore the nearby local market or visit Durbar Square. The evening is at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu in Hotel Shankar.
Take a scenic flight to Pokhara (800 m) and drive to Nayapul, which provides our hike start point for the Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek. Your walk will follow a ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurna with surrounding views of Pokhara. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where a comfortable accommodation, Sanctuary Lodge, is located for our first night in the trek. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. A picnic lunch is provided with a late afternoon arrival at the Lodge. (Trek time 2 hours). Overnight in Sanctuary Lodge
After breakfast, you will leave the lodge walking out through the outlying farms, following the Modi River valley. Soon you will begin to climb out of the valley & up towards the mountains. The trail of Annapurna Luxury Lodge on the second day toward Ghandruk passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields, and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Snacks are provided along the trail. Hot lunch is served on arrival at the lodge in the early afternoon. (Trek time 5 to 6 hours). It is from this lodge that there are magnificent close-up views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight in Himalaya Lodge
After enjoying a relaxing breakfast and the glorious views from the Himalaya Lodge, we will continue our trek to Landruk. After leaving Ghandruk village, the Annapurna Luxury Lodge trail descends steeply to the banks of the Modi Khola. Here, you’ll be at the base of the cliffs where the famed honey hunters of Nepal climb on ropes to collect the honey. You’ll then cross a strong suspension bridge to the opposite banks of the river. From here, it is about an hour walk up switchbacks and steps to reach the village of Landruk. Landruk offers more magnificent views of the Annapurna range. Trek time about 3 hours. Arrive in time for lunch. Your guide will take you on an exploration hike of this mountain village after lunch. Overnight in La Bee Lodge in Landruk.

Along the way, you will stop at the village of Pothana where many Tibetan traders live and sell their souvenirs. After about 5-6 hours, you will arrive at the Basanta Lodge. From the lodge, there are sweeping views of the entire Annapurna Range. After lunch at the lodge there will be an optional walk through the old village of Dhampus. Overnight in Basanta Lodge
After breakfast, you’ll set off along the ridge, descending through wooded hillsides and terraced farmland to the valley floor. The trek takes approximately 1.5 hours. From there, you’ll transfer by vehicle to the Temple Tree Resort in Pokhara (about 40 minutes drive). En route, you can request a stop at the Tibetan refugee camp to explore its temple complex. You’ll arrive at the centrally located Temple Tree Resort in time for lunch. The resort’s rooms feature authentic ethnic touches and are surrounded by landscaped gardens, water features, a swimming pool, and stunning mountain views. We conclude the luxury lodge trek in Annapurna at Pokhara, and today we drive to the plains of Nepal to reach Chitwan. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel, where we receive an orientation on the various activities available in Chitwan National Park. Later, we stroll along the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy the sunset over the sub-tropical jungles. This is followed by a village walk within the park, offering insight into the daily lives of the local Tharu people. In the evening, we enjoy dinner accompanied by a brief cultural program featuring the unique tribal dances of the Chitwan region. Overnight in Chitwan.
Today, we’ll embark on a jeep safari in search of Chitwan’s famed one-horned rhinoceros, along with bird-watching, jungle walks, and a dugout canoe ride along the Rapti River. During the canoe trip, we may spot gharial and mugger crocodiles, as well as freshwater dolphins, otters, and a variety of water birds. If time allows, we’ll join trained local naturalists for bird-watching or a nature walk in the park’s less densely forested areas. This is our chance to get up close with the diverse flora and fauna of Chitwan National Park. After exploring the park, we’ll return to our hotel to rest until dinner. Overnight in Chitwan.
After breakfast, we’ll pack our bags and prepare for a short 25-minute flight back to Kathmandu from Chitwan. We’ll be dropped off at the domestic airport well ahead of our scheduled departure. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we’ll check into our hotel and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, we’ll have plenty of time to explore the historical town of Kathmandu or do some last-minute shopping for local souvenirs and gifts. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful conclusion of our Nepal trip. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Best time to do this luxury lodge trekking in Annapurna
The best time to do this trip is just after the monsoon is over. So from mid-September to November is the best month. The temperature is mild, and the view is clear and blue. Still okay till December. Second best in spring (March to May) is always recommended. Summer or monsoon season is wet and views are affected by monsoon clouds, but it is not bad doing this trip in winter (Dec to Feb).
