Ganesh Himal Trek - A Less Traveled Trekking Route
Ganesh Himal Trekking, later given a new name, “Ruby Valley Trek,” in 2015. The route is a less-trekked area that rewards every trekker with a breathtaking experience of its natural beauty and landscapes. The alleys that you will follow are simply a creation of nature. Visitors can observe the blossoming of vivid flora and fauna if they ever trek in this region during the springtime time and a post-monsoon trek in September offers an alpine wild flower experience above 3000 meters. Blooming of orchids, rhododendrons, jasmines, and other wild flora is most commonly seen in this region. In addition, the area also offers an excellent habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals: 526 species of plants (including 40 species of orchids) and 300 species of birds.
Other interesting wild animals are the Himalayan Thar, Gaur, many kinds of monkeys, and musk deer. The trek also offers tremendously great panoramic viewpoints, which are called Singala Pass at a height of 4015 meters, Pangsang Bhanjyang provides the best viewpoint side trips, Jaisali Kunda, Kalo Daha (Kunda), Ganesh Himal Base Camp are other attractions if one is willing to extend the trek.
