Everest View Trek - A Comfort Everest Hiking Trip
Everest View Trek Overview
Everest View Trek, also commonly known as Everest Panorama Trek, is a carefully designed, fantastic short hiking tour to the Everest region, offering a great chance to capture Nepal’s beauty, meet the friendliest and most welcoming Sherpa people, and experience unique culture and tradition in a short period. This short trek to the Everest region is an easy and short sojourn trip, modified for those visitors who wish to view Mount Everest within a short time. Nepal is a home of welcoming people, the Amazing Himalayas, and various cultural diversities. This blend of outdoor adventure and cultural exploration is a great way to experience the Himalayan Mountains—the world’s most impressive mountain range—and will surely create lasting memories and provide you with a satisfying sense of accomplishment.
Upon arriving, you can have a sightseeing day to explore the exotic city of Kathmandu before flying into the remote mountain town of Lukla, where we begin our teahouse Everest View trek into the Khumbu region, the land of Sherpas. Situated at an elevation of 2800 meters, the views of the Himalayan Mountains from Lukla on a clear day are awe-inspiring. Once there, we follow the legendary Everest Base Camp Trek route that journeys through Sherpa villages, across high mountain passes, and remote valleys. En route, we pass through so many Buddhist Prayer Walls, Manis, Chortens, Stupas, and Buddhist monasteries and begin to appreciate the unique mountain culture found in the Himalayan foothills. The views become more brilliant as we venture up the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar, the main gateway to the Everest region, which treks at 3400 meters. We spend a night next to the Thyangboche monastery (3870 m), from where you will observe spectacular views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Kwande Peak, and many other small peaks.
If your time allows, we can drive to Chitwan to enjoy wildlife in the Chitwan National Park after the completion of the trek. Chitwan National Park is one of the finest wildlife reserves in Asia, located in the plains of Nepal, the Terai. The park, with a total area of 932 km, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s the home to many animals, birds, and plant species, including one horn rhino, different kinds of deer, sloth bears, leopards, tigers, crocodiles, and monkeys, as well as many different species of butterflies, insects, over 450 species of colorful & endangered birds, and an incredible variety of other fauna and flora.
After the comfortable Everest View trek, you can opt to visit Chitwan, which is a must for any wildlife lover and even for leisurely travelers who wish to relax in the tranquility of the sub-tropical jungle and observe wildlife or the local culture, tradition, and way of life in Terai. The Everest View Trek Itinerary will be 5-7 days, depending on your level of physical fitness and the time you have. Our original version itinerary has no extra day at Namche while trekking up, but you need it if you are a beginner. On that day, we will trek to Everest View Hotel and retrace our steps back to Namche after the beautiful day hike that will require one more day in the standard itinerary.

We fly on a twin-engine Otter to the Himalayan foothills where we begin our trek into the Khumbu region. The sights from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Lukla (2800m), we meet the rest of our staff and porters and trek for about three hours to Phakding.
We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Tonight, we stay in Hotel Namche.
The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We spend the night next to the Tengboche monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The monastery opens at 4pm every day, we will see the Lama perform a ceremony and hear the mystical chanting and music.
Today we trek back along the Dudh Kosi River through a magnificent rhododendron forest and past brilliant waterfalls. Shortly before reaching Namche, the trek takes us through a pine forest, where musk deer often graze in the early morning. Arriving in town, we may see lowland porters, highland Sherpas.
This is another long day and can be one of the hardest as your body is tired after the trek. You start the day going back down Namche Hill and then the long stretch back to Lukla. You will pass Phakding before starting the last uphill section into Lukla where we will sleep for one more night. Today’s trek can take 7 to 8 hours. 21km/ 13 miles. Overnight in Lukla in lodge.
After hot breakfast at Lukla fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla at around 8:30am. It is a picturesque flight of 35 minutes. If the weather is clear, the morning flight back to Kathmandu will be a scenic and smooth farewell to the mountains. We visit Pashupatinath temples; the most famous and Hindu sacred site in Kathmandu and we visit Boudhanath Stupa; the place of peace and salvation. Overnight in Kathmandu Guest House.
