A day hike to Namobuddha from Dhulikhel to one of the most Buddhist pilgrimage sites of Namo Buddha, passing by lush green forest and terraced farmland through Brahmin and Tamang communities, and walking on the scenic foothills, offers a lifetime experience to discover one of the most sacred Tibetan Buddhist sites in Nepal and an impressive monastery in Nepal. 

Start the hike from Dhulikhel, passing through 1000 steps, and then proceed to Kabhrebhanjyang. From there, continue to Namo Buddha, where Lord Buddha is believed to have been born as a prince in one of his past lives.  He sacrificed his body there to save a hungry tigress and her newborn cubs that would have died without his sacrifice, so the place has significant meaning and is very holy. Hiking to Namo Buddha from Dhulikhel is a great way to dip yourself in the attractive countryside, beautiful scenery, and snow-fed panorama. Hike gently and steadily uphill through fields and forests; we have downhill and uphill, and are crisscrossed by roads. Namo Buddha is located high on a ridge, and when the weather permits, there are wonderful views of the white peaks of the Himalaya to the north.
