Trek Overview
Kanchenjunga and Lumba Sumba Trek is a virgin trail trekking trail newly proposed in the western part of Nepal offers less traveled and wilderness experiences. Though the journey starts from Kathmandu; the walking adventure starts from Phoongling that is some 7-8 hours jeep ride from Bhadrapur. The hike and trekking pass through diverse cultural groups, terraced farmlands, and villages along the Lumba Sumba pass trek via Kanchenjunga Base Camp.
Kanchenjunga and Lumba sumba pass trek brings trekkers from Kanchenjunga North base Camp to Lumba Sumba then to Makalu region. There are occasional sightings of the Snow Leopard and the Red Panda along the Lumba Samba Pass trail. The Lumba Sumba Pass at a height of 5,177 meters above sea level is the highest point of the Lumba Sumba Pass trek. The three-week trek ends at Num, from where we drive to Khandbari and then to the Tumlingtar Airport where the flight to Kathmandu awaits us.
