Singla Pass Trek in the Ganesh region also now newly named “Ruby Valley” lies between Dhading and Nuwakot district. If you are following the great Himalaya trail it is situated between Langtang and Mansiri Himal parte to Manaslu.
Singla Pass Trek is intended to satisfy the off-the-beaten keens and wilderness lovers. The route offers diverse ethnic groups and locals, a social lifestyle. The majority are Tamang people with their unique culture. While you are trekking to the area it is not just people and their traditions but also the views of giant snowy peaks that amaze you from the Singla Pass. The mountain view stretches from Langtang to Annapurna, If you extend your trek; you can add Ganesh Himal Base Camp and discover the holy Lakes of Kalo Kunda and Seto Kunda; meaning Black and White lakes and end your trek at Arughat when usually Manaslu trek is started and that might need some 7 to 8 extra days then your trek is 14 days. As said above; the route is less visited by trekkers and not crowded like the traditional route of Annapurna and Everest region; one can enjoy the peace and tranquility of discovering yourself in an isolated and hidden valley.
When to trek?
Like other trekking routes; the Best time to trek to Singla Pass is March and April, the hills and mountains greatly blushed with blossoming Rhododendron. Also, autumn (Sept, Oct, and Nov) is the right time to trek in Singla Pass. Trekking in the Beginning of September offers to see the alpine high-altitude flowers but sometimes the rain may affect your trek. In winter there are chances of snowfall and Singla Pass may not the crossable so check the forecast before heading to the area.
